Managing Director Daphne Tonge has acquired UK & Commonwealth rights for an upcoming series of standalone paranormal murder mystery romances from Susan Dennard.

Rights have been acquired via Tracy Williams and Jo Volpe of New Leaf Literary & Media, with Quill Tree publishing simultaneously in the US. Each title will be strongly seasonally themed, with one for each of spring, summer, autumn and winter. These books will release biannually, with the first, Two for Joy, due to launch in May 2026. I Know What You Did Last Summer meets Dawson’s Creek in this cosy romantic horror mystery set in the ’90s, starring a romance-novel obsessed eighteen-year-old who is haunted by otherworldly music, and murders.

Tonge says, “I am delighted to continue publishing Susan’s YA titles here in the UK. Susan is a true talent and these books are no exception. These atmospheric books capture genuine teen voices, and we hope that new readers and fans of The Luminaries and The Executioners Three alike will love these seasonal stories!”

Dennard adds, "I have loved publishing with Daphne and her incredible team, and the response of UK readers has far surpassed my wildest expectations. I am truly thrilled I can continue publishing with Daphne Press for the Murder Quartet!"

Jo Volpe, Susan’s agent, says, “I have always loved Susan’s work, but there is something particularly dark and delicious about this new series. I adore the protagonists and each of their love interests, and I was enthralled with the unsettling mysteries in each book. Daphne Press have been such great partners. I can’t wait to see them work their magic on these books!”
