The Archaeology of Falling Worlds

Early 2027

Cyberpunk 2077 meets Studio Ghibli in this cyberpunk sci-fi epic exploring class inequality and migration in a multiverse on the brink of extinction, perfect for fans of Becky Chambers.

In a dying multiverse, survival demands sacrifice.

Welcome to Starga: an impossible neon city of magic and technology from a thousand unreachable worlds, founded by people who have fallen from the sky and lost all memories of their past lives. In its own splinter of reality, Starga is a mystery even to its own citizens. The city is reaching a breaking point, and archaeologists—researchers and inventors who study the fallen debris—are tasked with solving most of society’s problems.

Frey, a winged archaeologist from Lower Starga, daydreams of something greater than her dead-end day job or selling stolen artefacts in Starga’s seedy underbelly. And Alasar is an archaeologist from the city’s highest echelons and a clone of his wealthy and commanding father. Underneath his severe exterior is a desire to use archaeology to better Stargans’ lives as dangerous debrisfall increases.

When Frey and Alasar find an adorable but deadly shapeshifting creature in the wastelands beyond the city, their worlds are turned upside down. They must make a heartbreaking and impossible choice that could alter Starga—and the multiverse—beyond anything anyone can ever imagine.
